This past weekend my husband has been downloading our video recordings to our computer and then backing them up on an external hard drive. We were watching some of the video's from our two boys. My goodness, how time flies by FAST.
Please, if I can give any advice to you, BACK-UP your digital pictures and video's. But not only back them up, store them to an external hard drive. These are your most IMPORTANT memories. DO NOT LOSE THEM. My pictures are my most prized possessions. If I lost them, it would be devastating.
On this same note, if you need help with this, OCD can help you. Do you find it difficult to find your digital photographs on your computer? Do you have over 600 pictures still on your digital camera? Have you lost images in the past?
Hire OCD to help you organize your digital memories.
I have to give the credit to my mother-in-law for this one...
We ALL receive holiday picture cards...Feel bad throwing them out?
Recycle these cards...write a recipe on the back of them. So every time you need that recipe you will see a lovely picture from years past.
My oldest graduated from Preschool today. We just gave him what we think is one of the best books...."I Knew You Could!". You all know the story of the engine that could...This is a follow up story, not just for little ones. I highly recommend this book for ANY age.
It motivated me. It’s now time to stop thinking of the past and move on to a new path. So now this new track has led me to my dream. I LOVE to organize and want to help those who do not.
I just love this book so much that here is a link to view it for yourself. ENJOY!!!!

Im now putting my new brochures together. As I'm designing them I realize that Im so obsessive about the design but I need to focus on the substance. How do you all feel about my green flowers? I don't think that really matters, it's what I say in the brochure right?
I'm actually donating my time to a silent auction so that is why I need to finish this brochure. I truly believe that this is what will help get my business name out there. My whole life I wanted to own my own company and Im actually doing it. My son is graduating from Preschool tomorrow. I want him to know that if he truly believes in something that he will be able to accomplish it.
It might not happen as quickly as he plans, but it CAN happen.
Today was finally a nice day amongst all of the rain lately. At least my flowers are growing and the grass is VERY green.
I recently have spoken to the Logan Librarian about teaching 1 hour courses to help get my business up and running. Although they tell me that I cannot solicit my businesses. But was told I can bring my business cards. Hmmm?
My first class is going to be on the safety of facebook. Hopefully, I will be doing this soon. There are a lot of folks that use this social network that should be more concerned with privacy. Or on the other hand, there are folks that are afraid to use it because of wanting to keep their privacy. So my class teaches you how to make sure you are SAFE!
The next 1 hour lesson will be how to organize your photographs on your computer. I find that many people upload from their cameras, but have no idea where they are saving the files. This class will help to show where to save and how to organize them, so that they are easy to find/search.I will let you know when those dates are set. But in the meantime, if you have suggestions on other places that I can teach these classes...I’m ALL ears!Have a good weekend.
An idea for quick Pet hair clean up, given to me by my aunt yesterday. Thanks Aunt Marlene.
QUICK TIP:Take a rubber glove, blow it up and tie it, rub it for some static and then rub over your upholsterded furniture. TA DA...the hair sticks!
In February I was laid off. One of the first things to happen is that you take a close look at your life. I’m a very organized and scheduled person but this sudden change threw me for a loop. After speaking to supportive people, I was getting pretty tired of hearing: "ENJOY", "Take your time finding a job", "Everything happens for a reason".
A week later, one inspiring woman called me and said "Well, what is your dream job?” I had not thought about this question in many years. My dream job when I was little was to be an interior designer. I did that...now what? At 36 years old, I had my plan all set. I have a wonderful Husband, 2 beautiful boys, and career that I loved...and then POOF.
So I told her that I LOVED to organize but needed to be flexible. She mentioned to me that there are Professional Organizers. REALLY? After that conversation, she helped me to network with a wonderful group of ladies that I’m proud to say are my peers.
I am now a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers and also joined the Philadelphia Area Chapter of NAPO. What wonderful things I’m learning and I hope to share them with you.
EVERYTHING DOES HAPPEN FOR A REASON it just sometimes has a funny way of showing why.
This just in....
OCD will share with you tips and tricks for quick organization. Please visit often or email me with tricks of your own. Just found this quick and recycleable tip:
Use your empty tissue boxes to store "extra" bags around the house.
